ABOUT ME

Hey there! My name is Ariadne Frisby and I am currently a Language Assistant in Madrid, Spain. I am from New York currently, but I have lived in Arizona and North Carolina as well. I attended Barnard College in New York City receiving a Bachelors degree in Archaeology and Spanish language and culture. I have been traveling outside of the United States since I was twelve, visiting 16 different countries including Turkey, France, Costa Rica, and Portugal. I have always loved learning about other cultures and experiencing it first hand. This drove my choice to pursue a degree in archaeology and fuels my travel bug. Part of my role as a language assistant is to teach the students about the culture of English speaking countries. Thus, after speaking with my bilingual coordinator we decided a focus on World Travel would be a good topic for my final project (with a focus on English speaking countries). I moved here to Madrid for two reasons: to learn and to teach. I came in search for a new opportunity to learn about living in a European country outside the U.S. This job as a teaching assistant has given me that opportunity and I can spread my travel bug to my students.
